Five things you may have missed from March's England men's camp
Here are some of the standout stories from this month's camp for our England men's teams
FIRST-TIME ENGLAND FANS ATTEND WEMBLEY
From dream debuts to family connection, it was an action-packed March international window for the Three Lions and Young Lions.
As the camp draws for a close, here are five talking points you might’ve missed from this month’s schedule.
A family feel
Following their respective call-ups – with Jude Bellingham selected by Thomas Tuchel and Jobe Bellingham named in Lee Carsley’s under-21s squad – the March international window gave the Bellingham siblings a chance to spend some quality time together at St. George’s Park.
Sunderland midfielder and Young Lions international Jobe took in one of Tuchel’s training sessions involving brother Jude, while the pair also trained together in the gym at the England base.
And, after making his 41st appearance for his country in a 2-0 win against Albania, Jude Bellingham ticked off yet another milestone, becoming the most capped player aged 21 or under in Three Lions history.

History maker
It was a night to remember for Myles Lewis-Skelly who became the youngest-ever player to score on his England debut when the defender rippled the net just 20 minutes into his first appearance. Handed a start in the game against Albania at Wembley, the 18 year old also claimed the Player of the Match award, presented by EE.
And the Arsenal star, who has represented his country at youth level, revealed it was a case of mistaken identity when he initially answered the phone, believing it to be the new England boss.
“I was on the phone with my friends and I got a call,” recalled Lewis-Skelly. “It said no number so I told my friends, ‘one second, I need to take this call’. I’m thinking, ‘there’s a good chance that it could be a call-up’ but I ended up picking up and it was Uber Eats for my mum!”

Burn’s unexpected text
Not 24 hours after finding the back of the net for his boyhood club at Wembley to end Newcastle United’s 70-year-long trophy drought, Dan Burn was re-watching the highlights at St. George’s Park alongside international team-mate Jordan Henderson after touching down in Burton.
And the 32 year old, who became the oldest player to make his England bow since Kevin Davies in October 2010, recounted how he received the news ahead of the showpiece against Liverpool while being reprimanded by Tuchel in the process.
"I got a text at 10pm and I was like 'yes!’ straight away,” explained Burn. “He said, 'first of all, not professional being in bed for 10pm', so I apologised for that. Then he said he’s been ringing everyone that hadn't made the squad and said he needed to end the day on a good note.”

Young Lions advance
Neil Ryan’s Young Lions will be competing in this year’s UEFA U17 EURO, which takes place in Albania in May, after England men’s under-17s booked their place at both the European Championships and the World Cup, which will be held in Qatar later in November.
Qualification was secured for Ryan’s team after beating Slovenia 3-2 at St. George’s Park in the qualifying round, following on from a 2-0 victory over Israel earlier in the week.
And the men’s under-19s joined them in reaching a major tournament as Will Antwi’s side beat Portugal 1-0 in their final fixture of the window to seal their place at UEFA U19 EURO which will be staged in Romania in June.

Extending the run
May 1959 was the last time the Three Lions slipped to defeat against a team they had never faced before when they lost 2-1 to Mexico at Estadio Olimpico Universitario in an international match-up.
England extended that impressive run when they came up against Latvia for the first time at Wembley on Monday night, running out 3-0 winners under the arch as Tuchel became the first permanent head coach to win his first two competitive games at the helm since Fabio Capello in September 2008.
And it’s now 43 wins and 14 draws for England in their first encounters again new opposition.
