England women’s under-19s signed off an unbeaten April camp with a 10-0 victory over Ukraine in the UEFA Women's U19 EURO second qualifying round.

Lauren Smith’s side arrived at base vying for victory, looking to add to a strong window which has seen the Young Lionesses record buoyant victories over both Austria and Belgium.

With qualification for the Finals in Poland this June already secured, there was no letting up from Smith’s side, who looked to solidify the group’s best seeding.

The Young Lionesses were fluent in possession early on, working the ball out wide to Erica Parkinson who stood up a ball to the back post. With the ball knocked free, Lola Brown arrived on cue to add the finishing touch, handing Smith’s side an early lead.

Mari Ward pried for a quick second, opening an angle to shoot after Jessie Gale’s ball in from the touchline, but her effort landed wide.

England continued to dial up the pressure, and on nine minutes, Brown doubled her afternoon’s tally, stepping up to the spot after a handball in the penalty area.

The Young Lionesses maintained their pressure at the top end of the pitch, and the backline remained equally stoic, cutting out advances quite comfortably.

Gale, in particular, proved fruitful down by the nearest touchline, delivering a series of balls into the box, but Svitlana Sakhno covered ground well to keep out a third on 20 minutes.

And on the 22nd minute mark, Gale continued her feat for scoring, meeting a delivery sent towards the back post, netting her third goal in as many games.

The Young Lionesses continued to move up a gear. This time, Mari Ward was kept out on the goal-line after she took aim for the top corner.

Princess Ademiluyi then forced the ball home in the 33rd minute, capitalising on a costly mishap. Six minutes later, and she extended the Young Lionesses’ lead, arriving in the penalty area unmarked to fire past Sakhno.

The Young Lionesses remained relentless, working the ball to Ava Baker who popped up with a sixth minutes before the break.

The second period followed a similar pattern, and within one minute of the restart, an opportunity cropped up for Ademiluyi to complete her hat-trick, which she took with aplomb.

Katie Reid followed suit moments later, with the substitute lashing home an eighth from point-blank range.

Ademiluyi summed up her afternoon on the hour mark, as her superlative effort looped over Sakhno to extend the lead.

Just when Ukraine began to find their rhythm, Brown was next to complete her hat-trick. Sakhno was on hand to deny the initial effort from inside the penalty area, but the Chelsea midfielder made no mistake with the follow-up.

Nelly Las was next to pose a threat, driving towards the byline and striking the upright, before Ademiluyi was denied by a finger-tipped stop by the Ukraine keeper, completing the last of the action.

The Young Lionesses will learn their opponents at the EURO Finals next Tuesday, when the draw takes place.
