There will be further English representation as well as the Lionesses at the UEFA Women's EURO in Switzerland this summer, with three officials selected for duty at the competition.
Assistant referee Emily Carney, video assistant referee Jarred Gillett and assistant VAR Sian Massey-Ellis have all been named by UEFA among the team of officials who will taking part.
For Carney, it will be her first senior UEFA tournament after officiating at last summer's Paris 2024 Olympics, and she has further international experience having been part of the team overseeing the final of the UEFA Women’s U19 EUROs in 2023.
Massey-Ellis is now an experienced VAR, having previously been a trailblazer for women officials as an assistant referee. She's previously represented England at major tournaments in 2013, 2017, 2019 and 2022 as well as the 2018 UEFA Women’s Champions League final.
This will be Gillett's first UEFA appointment, with the Australian-born official having moved to the UK in 2019 and being a Premier League referee and VAR since 2021.
