Jordan Pickford says there’s “no panic” in the England camp, as they prepare for their third and final group stage game at EURO 2024.

The Three Lions face Slovenia in Cologne on Tuesday evening, knowing they can secure their spot in the round of 16 with a result.

And while Pickford is anticipating another tough match, he says the players and staff are confident in moving forward after their draw with Denmark last week.

“We're still top of the group and it’s in our hands,” said the Everton goalkeeper.

“We’ve got another tough game against Slovenia come Tuesday. But when you look back in tournaments: our last two tournaments, we were on four points after two games so it’s the same position we are in now.

“There’s no worry, there’s no panic. We’re calm and we’ll move on and we’ll prepare well for Tuesday.

“We’re not panicking. We’re on four points after two games. We’re top of the group and we’re in control of it.”

The squad have been back at their basecamp since the Denmark game as their focus turned to the Slovenia match.

And he says the group spirit remains as strong as it’s ever been whether that’s working on the training pitch or during downtime away from that.

“When we’re off our feet, we’ve got a great squad togetherness,” he added.

“That gets you through tournaments and that’s what’s got us through the last three tournaments so far.

“We’ve just got to stay calm, we’ve got to train well, we’ve got to enjoy training. When we’re not training, we’ve got to enjoy the down time.

“It’s Tuesday first, before anything else. It's about us performing on Tuesday against Slovenia and winning that game.

“But there's never no easy games in major football. And yeah, we've got to stay relaxed and enjoy that pressure come game day.”

The game on Tuesday kicks-off at 8pm BST and will be live on ITV1 and ITVX in the UK.
