England partnership renewal with Mars Wrigley UK
We're pleased to announce a renewal of our partnership with Mars Wrigley UK, as KIND and Extra become new joint partners for the 2023-24 season.
This renewal will evolve our existing relationship from Snickers to KIND and Extra, as part of our drive to offer health-conscious customers balanced choices through their everyday snacking options.
Both brands will be supporting the England women’s, men’s and para teams over the coming years, with KIND being the focus during 2023 and then Extra in 2024.
Since its founding in the US in 2004 to its launch in the UK in 2015, KIND has made a commitment to create snacks that are delicious and nutritious, wholesome and convenient. Today, KIND offers a variety of snack bars with recipes that include flavourful, nutrient-dense, simple and premium ingredients like whole nuts and fruit and all are gluten free and have no artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives.
Extra gum was originally launched by Wrigley’s in the USA as its first sugar-free chewing gum and quickly became the number one brand in its area. Extra is now recognised worldwide for its variety of long-lasting flavours in both mint and fruit.
The partnership comes at a time where the entire category is expanding, as food and drink companies look to offer greater choice to consumers, which Mars are uniquely placed to support through KIND and Extra.
Navin Singh, FA commercial director, said: “We’re delighted to continue our partnership with Mars Wrigley with a renewed focus on KIND and Extra. This evolving partnership aligns perfectly with our passion to encourage balanced lifestyles.
“We thank Mars Wrigley for their continued support across our England teams and we look forward to working together over the coming years.”
Speaking of the partnership, Peter Morris, KIND UK’s market director, added: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be a supporter of the FA this year, and to continue our health and wellness journey. As football fans ourselves, we’re proud to be focused on supporting the England Women’s Football team this year.”
And Kerry Cavanaugh, business unit director of Mars Wrigley UK said: “Football provides some of the greatest culture moments in the UK, so we’re very proud to be partnering with the FA to bring KIND and Extra to a nationwide stage. It’s a brilliant opportunity to show our customers the range of products we offer that are synonymous with a balanced lifestyle.”
