Oche not OK
While England have made a winning start to UEFA EURO 2020, the Three Lions have suffered a wobble at the oche. Having stormed into a 3-0 lead in the daily three-darts challenge against journalists at the media centre, two straight defeats have brought the press pack back into the race. After BBC Sport’s Kelly Somers beat Mason Mount before the Croatia game, The Times’ Henry Winter followed that up with victory over Tyrone Mings (who only managed to muster 11 points) on Tuesday. Nice to see Roo
One famous face caught the eye of Harry Kane during his post-match media duties at Wembley on Sunday. The Three Lions’ all-time goalscorer Wayne Rooney attended the game with his family and grabbed the captain for a quick socially-distanced chat. Rooney wasn’t he only former England international cheering on Gareth Southgate’s boys with Jamie Redknapp and Adam Lallana also among the 18,000+ crowd.
Shaw slips up
There’s no doubt there’s a relaxed vibe around the camp at St. George’s Park, but Luke Shaw took that one step further on Tuesday. The Manchester United left-back was seen strolling around in a pair of bright red slippers complete with yellow smiley faces on. The comfy clogs are said to be a going away present from his partner.

The undisputed champion
There were titles on the line as the lads took on a jumping challenge in the gym before heading out on to the training pitch to continue preparations for Sunday’s game against Croatia last week. Three belts were up for grabs across the three challenges, with the players seeing high how they could get from a standing jump, firstly without weights, then with a 20KG bag, and finally with a 40KG bag. Dominic Calvert-Lewin showed the rest of the group how it was done, winning all three to become the Undisputed King of the Gym!
A friendly face stops by Lions’ Den
Not only were we joined by Marcus Rashford for the third episode of Lions’ Den connected by EE, another familiar face stopped by. The voice behind our official EURO 2020 squad announcement video, Wretch 32, was welcomed on to the show by host Josh Denzel. The artist talked us through how he came up with the lyrics in The Call-up and how much he’s looking forward to this summer’s tournament getting started.
